Who’s Noel?
I am 26 years old, born and raised in Stavanger, where I also studied. I consider myself a systematic person, who likes to have order and control. I’m a structured type, and I like trying to understand how things work. Otherwise, I am an outgoing individual who likes to be social and enjoy’s being with other people.
Past experiences?
I graduated this spring, and have a Bachelor in Economics and Administration. I have already gained relevant work experience in finance/accounting. During my first semester at BI, my mother started a business where I was given the responsibility for the company’s accounts.
I then started to develop an accounting system in excel to make bookkeeping easier. My mother was concerned about getting on the wrong side of the Tax authorities, so everything I did had to be quality assured. This was an incredible learning experience and I gained valuable first-hand experience on what makes businesses tick, and that comes in very handy in my position in Mantle.
How did you end up in Mantle?
It was quite a coincidence, I had just started building my LinkedIn profile when I came across an available position at Mantle. We eventually made contact, and now I’m here!
What are you looking forward to about working on in Mantle?
There’s a lot I look forward to! Among other things, I look forward to being a part of the company’s growth. I envision that my everyday work will be exciting and varied. I think the learning curve at Mantle will be steep and incredibly educational.
Getting to know more about Business Intelligence as a concept and learning how data can be put to work in generating value is something I’m especially looking forward to. At the moment I am working on getting to know Insightplanning and Power BI, it is quite demanding, but I will master it eventually.
Do you have a fun fact about yourself?
I have to admit that I’m not a big fan of small dogs, and if I was ever getting one, it would have to be big. Some time ago, my girlfriend had to look after a small “purse” dog, a Pomchi (super cute ?).
The dog ended up staying with us indefinitely. Now I proudly carry him around in a little princess bag, I cut his nails, cuddle, and take care of him. He is the most wonderful dog in the world and I have become very fond of him! ?
What do you do to relax?
When I want to completely disconnect I watch YouTube, or spend a few hours gaming.
What song/music do you put on when you want to get in a good mood?
I mostly listen to Hip Hop, RnB, and Rap. To get in an extra good mood, I turn up the volume on the headset and go for a walk.
